THOUGHTS

Personally, I am a huge fan of a ton of the players that the Seminoles brought in this summer. However, I am super excited about the three transfers that came in with linebacker Cam Riley, defensive back Omarion Cooper, and offensive lineman Jacob Rizy.

Let's start with Riley. The former Auburn linebacker was very productive with the Tigers during his four seasons. He can bring a different dynamic to a defense that has to replace the likes of veterans such as Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune. Riley could be just the veteran that they need in the position room.

As for Cooper, he has already been on the Seminoles' roster. Unfortunately, he elected to transfer to Colorado and played one season in Boulder. However, that was short-lived and now he is back in Tallahassee. Florida State will have to find contributors to replace veteran safety Akeem Dent. Could he provide the answer there?

Lastly, the Seminoles added Harvard offensive lineman Jacob Rizy. The Florida State coaching staff views him as an interior offensive lineman. The problem is that several veterans are in the room vying for an opportunity. Can Rizy become a foundational piece even with enrolling in the summer?
