Norvell is starting to see the 2024 squad starting to grow in what they are asked to do. The program currently has heightened expectations after the 2023 version of the team accomplished an undefeated regular season and a conference championship.

However, the 2023 squad is now in the past as Florida State's coaching staff will be prepared to work with their 38 scholarship newcomers as the team prepares to have a chip on its shoulders for the doubters after the College Football Playoff committee excluded them from winning a championship.
