Head football coach Mike Norvell makes 4-star DB Ladarian Clardy a priority
Florida State football is still below the top-50 ranking for its 2025 recruiting class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. However, that could change shortly.
While I understand that the ranking is not something that Seminole fans are accustomed to, Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell emphasizes the importance of getting the right fit for the program as the Seminoles look to continue their sustainable success in being one of the top teams in all of college football.
The coaching staff only has four commitments in their recruiting class and have not secured a pledge since January when four-star defensive end Javion Hilson flipped his services from Alabama to Florida State after legendary head football coach Nick Saban retired.
However, good news could be on the horizon for the Seminoles as both On3's Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong put in expert predictions for Class of 2025 four-star safety Ladarian Clardy from Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida.
Clardy officially visited the Seminoles' program this past weekend. His brother dropped an in-depth YouTube video highlighting Clardy's official visit. If you want to check it out, click the video below!
It gives a great assessment of how the visit went for Clardy and why some experts are predicting him to commit to Florida State.
I would like Florida State fans to skip to 5:00 in the video where head football coach Mike Norvell talks to the talented defensive back in the car. He stated the following: "I told you that you aren't going anywhere. I will do everything in my power to make sure that you are here cause you are an absolute real one."
This has to make Clardy feel like a priority. The Seminoles do not have a defensive back prospect in their recruiting class. Defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. and head football coach Mike Norvell have continued to showcase its recruiting prowess.
