Florida State football has had success against their arch-rival opponents, Florida Gators and Miami Hurricanes. The Seminoles had secured two straight state champions. This goes a long way when going into recruit's living rooms and pitching success on the football field.

Florida finished with a 5-7 record where they limped to the finish and has head football coach Billy Napier and company on the hot seat for 2024. It does not seem like they will get much relief this season either as their month of November is as challenging as any team in the country.

As for Miami, they went 7-6 during the 2023 season with a bowl loss to Rutgers (we all know they did not make the ACC Championship Game yet again). The Hurricanes have a much easier schedule as they look to accomplish their second 10-win season since 2003.

Both fanbases are certainly arrogant on social media. However, someone has to win as the Florida Gators will host the Miami Hurricanes on August 31st in Ben Hill-Griffin Stadium. This is a monumental game for both programs as Florida needs to start fast and Miami has pressure to perform at a high level.

As it relates to Florida State, the Seminoles get to watch the madness unfold between the two programs as head football coach Mike Norvell looks to put together a fantastic 2024 campaign while accomplishing his third straight state championship.

On Tuesday afternoon, Hard Rock Bet's Twitter (X) account threw some shade at both programs that had to make Seminole fans very happy.

The account is not wrong though as it seems like Florida State has taken hold of the state when it comes to on-the-field product. Hopefully, Miami can continue to hype themselves up during the offseason just to come down to Earth halfway through the season. Meanwhile, Florida can be free falling into misery by the time November rolls around.

Just asking for a friend, but can both teams lose on August 31st?
