Freshmen Continuing To Shine

I've been saying the future in Tallahassee is bright all year because of the freshmen production they've gotten at the plate and in the circle. There has been some natural regression to the mean as the season has gone on, but they continue to produce at a high level. I've already talked about Danley's contributions in the circle, but it's the position players that I'll mention here. Jaysoni Beachum went 5-12 with four RBI.

Isa Torres went 4-11 with two RBI, and Kennedy Harp went 4-7 with four RBI. Beachum is hitting .444 with a .520 on-base percentage. Torres is hitting .378 with a .409 on-base percentage. Harp is hitting .415 with a .458 on-base percentage. Beachum, Torres, and Danley have been starters in the field and in the circle all season. However, Harp has appeared in 34 games, starting nine, and taking advantage of her opportunities. She has extra-base hits in nine of her 17 hits and is 5-5 in stolen bases. This freshman class has been a major hit for Coach Alameda, and this weekend continued to show their impact.
