FSU Marching Chiefs making the Ireland trip for the 2024 football season opener vs GT
Florida State football will open its 2024 season in Dublin, Ireland against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on August 24th. It will be a unique experience for several Seminole fans to experience a moment that they will remember for a lifetime.
Fans can be able to purchase tickets for the contest by visiting here. You can purchase upper-level tickets in Avavi Stadium for $245.
While it is wonderful that fans can be able to attend the game, individuals wondered if the Marching Chiefs could be able to come to Ireland. I realize that bringing a large group like that will cost a ton of money. However, one aspect that makes college football so special is the marching band.
Florida State Director of Athletic Bands David Plack created a fundraiser to hopefully get a variety of band members to make the Ireland trip. As most fans know, it seems as though Nole Nation always show up in a huge way with their fundraising efforts.
On Wednesday afternoon, Plack posted that they had raised over $133,370 and had a new goal of $150,000.
This is incredible to see that these college students who participate with the Marching Chiefs have the opportunity to create long-lasting memories that they can teach their children and grandchildren about one day.

Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell emphasizes how important the Marching Chiefs are to the university and more specifically to the football team. Norvell talks about the unwavering support that the band has for the program. Even when the struggles arose in 2020 and 2021, the Marching Chiefs continued to showcase their love and enthusiasm when other fans might have put them to the waist side.
I am glad that the Marching Chiefs will be there in Ireland loud and proud as they cheer the Seminoles on to victory.
MARCHING CHIEFS ALL THE DA** TIME!
