FSU football: Why 2024 spring has been best first month of any offseason in Mike Norvell's career

I went back and watched some old interviews with Mike Norvell from the 2020 spring. It was eye-opening to hear the language used to describe if there were team leaders or who stood out. FSU is a player-led team nowadays. That wasn't the case back then, but it's made all the difference in the world regarding how much winning FSU can do on the field. The standard is the standard and always has been, but the last 2.5 years have reset the expectations as a reality among the players and fans. It's no longer acceptable to make a bowl game or win 7-8 games.
FSU winning the ACC last year means that's the expectation and bare minimum. The FSU coaches know how much work it took to get from 3-6, 5-7, 10-3, and 13-0. There are still quite a few players on the team, who experienced that ride too. They don't want to go backward, nor do the coaches, and the transfers and freshmen chose FSU because they believed they could win the ACC and a National Title. It's all about accountability, and it seems like this team is already locked in to make another run.
