FSU football: Top 5 toughest games on 2024 schedule
By Kelvin Hunt
Miami
FSU has beaten Miami each of the last three seasons, and it's do-or-die for Mario Cristobal regarding FSU, who he hasn't beaten yet. Miami expects a better team this year, and it should reflect in their record, especially since they play mostly a cupcake schedule. However, if they win a ton of games and lose to FSU, their fans will not be satisfied after all the junk they've talked about all off-season (what else is new). Miami will have a better option at quarterback than what FSU faced last year.
They have some talent returning and got some help from the transfer portal. Miami will have a chance to go into this game undefeated if they can get past Florida in their season opener and avoid any letdown games along the way(not a safe bet with Mario Cristobal). If they accomplish that, Miami bandwagon fans who never show up to games will likely come out in full force, but FSU will have a strong showing in Doak South. I expect Miami to give FSU its best shot, but I like this matchup for FSU.
