As mentioned, it'll be the season opener across the pond, and those games have all been sloppy historically. Georgia Tech will have had all offseason to prepare for an FSU team with many new faces. The Yellow Jackets return their starting quarterback and got help from the transfer portal.
Their defense was awful last year, but I could see this as a close game at halftime as the FSU offense works to find its rhythm. Georgia Tech will likely have several wrinkles to throw at the Noles, but it goes both ways. FSU is the more talented team and a double-digit betting favorite for a reason. However, should things stay closer than the oddsmakers say, we don't know exactly how this team will respond. Mike Norvell teams usually respond well to adversity, but if it's a sloppy game with multiple turnovers, it could be tougher than it needs to be.
