No. 5 North Carolina

Mack Brown is a graduate of Florida State University, and his alma mater has done no favors each time he's matched up against the Noles. He's never beaten FSU in his career, including a couple of games in the last five seasons when North Carolina was heavy-betting favorites (2020 and 2022) over the Noles. This year will be no different as the Tarheels will make the trip to Tallahassee for the first time since the 2016 season when they kicked a 54-yard field goal to defeat the Noles as time expired(Mack Brown was their coach then).

North Carolina will have a new quarterback and new defensive coordinator. They don't have a difficult schedule before facing the Noles, but FSU will be their second consecutive road game after traveling to Virginia. FSU does have Miami the week before North Carolina, so there could be some potential for a letdown. However, I expect FSU to handle Miami as they have in the past three seasons, so it shouldn't affect things too much. North Carolina has been a mediocre program with two NFL Draft picks at QB over the past few years(Sam Howell, Drake Maye), and this year should be no different.
