DJ Uiagalelei Progress

The quarterback position will likely determine the success of the team in 2024. That's nothing new because that's the case for most teams and the ascension of FSU as Jordan Travis emerged into what he became is a prime example. We saw what the offense looked like without an experienced quarterback once Jordan Travis got injured. Enter transfer QB DJ Uiagalelei. Uiagalelei has a ton of experience as a starter and was brought to FSU to lead the Noles in 2024. He's learning a new offense for the second year in a row, but his success in a new offense at Oregon State last season gives me hope he'll have no issues picking up Mike Norvell's offense.

Thus far, he's looked fine at practice, it's about forming chemistry with the new wide receivers and tight ends, and that takes practice reps. I'm curious to see what the narratives are from the quarterback unit after Thursday's scrimmage. Does that chemistry with the receivers and tight ends look like improved practice over practice? Does it seem like he knows what they are trying to accomplish in certain situations? If Uiagalelei plays at the same level he played last year or better? FSU will be a tough out for a lot of teams in 2024. I expect him to play at a higher level under Mike Norvell.
