FSU football: Top 3 bets for FSU and Clemson game

FSU football will host the Clemson Tigers in Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday night. The kickoff time is 7 p.m., and the Tigers are -15 point betting favorites, with an over/under total of 47.5.

Those odds imply a 31-17 win for the Tigers. I don't think any FSU fan believes FSU has a realistic shot to pull off the upset. This FSU team has been too risky to bet for or against before the game starts. However, I've made a killing betting on their games LIVE after watching a few drives.

This game has even more intrigue since FSU will start a new quarterback. Will the Noles play hard from the onset? How will they respond if they face adversity early in the game? Will Brock Glenn avoid turning the ball over? These are questions we don't know the answer to, but I'm going to provide three bets you should take a look at:

Cade Klubnik OVER 250 passing yards (+120)

If you were to bet $100, you'd win $120 if this bet hit. Klubnik threw for 283 yards against a better FSU defense last year. While this game is on the road, FSU has had trouble covering guys on third down. Klubnik is averaging 27.5 attempts and 246 yards per game, and this will be a game where Dabo Swinney will try to make a statement after losing to the Noles last year for the first time since 2014. It's Klubnik's second year in the second and Clemson's offense looks better compared to the previous year.  

Total Touchdowns OVER 5.5 (-110)

You'd need to bet $110 to win $100 his this bet won. This means six touchdowns are needed between both teams for this bet to win. I suspect FSU will likely turn it over at least once and if the game gets away from them early, the onslaught will be on. I do expect FSU to chip in with 1-2 touchdowns.

FSU scores over 16.5 points (+110)

If you bet $100, you'd win $110 if this bet wins. FSU would need to score at least 17 points to win. I know FSU hasn't scored more than 14 points on offense since the opener against Georgia Tech. However, Clemson has allowed teams to score a lot of points in the second half after building big leads. I could see FSU scoring a touchdown in the first half and then scoring 10 more points as the game reached garbage time.
