AZ Thomas-High School

AZ Thomas is a former No. 89 player nationally at a position historically easier to get on the field early. Thomas appeared in 11 games as a freshman, totaling 14 tackles, one interception, and one pass breakup. However, he saw a more expanded role in his sophomore season, appearing in all 14 games with one start. Thomas totaled 29 tackles, 4.5 for a loss, 10 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. Thomas excelled under the tutelage of new FSU defensive backs coach Pat Surtain and will be a starter for the Noles at cornerback in 2024. He's poised to have a monster season and could be one of the top cornerbacks selected in next year's NFL Draft.
