No. 7 Roydell Williams will have 750 rushing yards

FSU will use a running back by committee approach, but Roydell Williams will likely get most of the featured carries, at least early on. Williams averaged fewer than eight carries per game at Alabama last season, but averaged 5.05 per carry for 560 rushing yards, which was a career high. I expect Williams to average about 12 carries per game. He doesn't take many tackles for a loss and has great vision in traffic. The offensive line should help him avoid having many defenders in the backfield early.

He might see his average improve on the 5.05 ypc last year. The threat of DJ Uiagalelei running the ball could open things for him as well. The biggest threat to Williams not reaching this number is sharing carries in a crowded backfield. However, he's the most experienced back outside of Lawrance Toafili, so I expect him to get much of the work early in the season. It'll be up to him to maintain that workload unless the younger guys start producing when they get their limited reps.
