Jared Verse

The No. 2 player on the list is Albany transfer defensive end Jared Verse. This one was TOUGH! I almost put Verse in the No. 1 spot. Verse joined the FSU program in the 2022 spring. He made an immediate impact similar to Jermaine Johnson. However, he suffered an injury in the 2022 season that limited him for the rest of the year. However, still had 48 tackles, 17.5 tackles for a loss, and nine sacks. Verse probably would have been an NFL first-round draft pick if he entered the 2023 NFL Draft. However, he decided to return to FSU and improved his overall game and his draft stock. Verse finished the 2023 season with 41 tackles, 12.5 for a loss, and nine sacks.

Verse was a two-time first-team All-American and All-ACC selection. He was the No. 19 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft by the LA Rams.
