FSU football: Three wishes for Nole fans heading into the New Year
GET OUT OF THE ACC
Florida State Seminole fans will be the first to tell you that this will be the center of the discussion this offseason as the administration wants to get out of the ACC. This became apparent as the Seminoles filed a lawsuit against the conference for their Grant of Rights deal, which ends in 2036.
Timing is everything in today's landscape of college football where conference realignment is happening rapidly. The SEC and Big Ten have become the two mega-conferences as the top four of the final College Football Playoff rankings consist of current/future teams from both conferences.
Not to mention, teams such as Indiana and Vanderbilt will be earning significantly more than Florida State each year because of the shared revenue in the conferences. The Seminoles cannot continue to navigate in the direction of the ACC any longer.
Seminole fans (among other individuals) realize that aspect.
