THE AMOUNT OF BLUE-CHIP PROSPECTS

Florida State had a phenomenal haul filled with a variety of highly-touted prospects. For reference, the Seminoles finished Wednesday with ten signees who are top-200 prospects in the 247Sports Composite rankings.

That is what it takes to have sustainability in a program. While star rankings do not directly dictate results on the football field, the Seminoles need to continue to acquire quality depth at various positions. For reference, teams that compete regularly for national champions typically have top-ten recruiting classes.

This is by far the best recruiting class that head football coach Mike Norvell has constructed since he arrived in Tallahassee. As I referenced previously, winning cures everything. The Seminoles have a 13-0 record and have won 18 straight games. Recruits see that result on the field and want to suit up in the garnet and gold.

With the amount of blue-chip prospects in this class, this could be a sign of things to come for the Seminoles in future recruiting classes.
