FSU football: Three players who will have significant snaps in the Orange Bowl
DT DARRELL JACKSON JR
Guess who's back?!
That's right, Florida State redshirt junior defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr. will finally suit up in the garnet and gold. The former Maryland and Miami transfer will get his opportunity to play after the NCAA denied his eligibility waiver.
While it stinks that Jackson Jr. did not get a chance during the season, I am so glad that fans will finally see him in action. Unfortunately, Florida State will be without the likes of redshirt senior Fabien Lovett (who declared for the 2024 NFL Draft) and redshirt junior Malcolm Ray (who entered the transfer portal).
Defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins is one of the best in the country when it comes to having his guys ready to be successful. I could envision a scenario where Braden Fiske, Darrell Jackson Jr, and Joshua Farmer will all play significant snaps at the defensive tackle position.
Having Jackson Jr. in the fold will be massive for this Seminoles' defense.
