I mentioned one potential transfer portal target working through some issues. If he can get those situated, that will be an option with experience and production. However, there will be more guys who enter the transfer portal after spring camps conclude. While ideally, it would be best for transfer portal guys to get enrolled and go through spring practice, an experienced linebacker shouldn't have too many issues learning the scheme, particularly if they come from a similar scheme. FSU has gotten some key contributors who didn't join the program until after the spring semester.
Dillan Gibbons, Keon Colemn, and D'Mitri Emmanuel come to mind. More coaching changes may open up more options. Alabama players have about 20+ more days to enter the portal. Washington players will have nearly 30 days to enter the portal because their coach took the Alabama job. Arizona players will have 30 days to enter the portal because their coach took the Washington job. See how that goes? I'm confident this staff can find 1-2 more linebackers in the transfer portal between now and May.
