Should Florida State football fans worry about the coaching staff not acquiring transfer portal prospects yet?

FSU football has been struck with an abundance of bad news since the Seminoles defeated the Louisville Cardinals in the ACC Championship Game to remain undefeated.

The Seminoles have had to deal with the adversity of being snubbed from the College Football Playoff, five-star defensive lineman commit Armondo Blount canceling his official visit to Florida State and visiting Miami instead, and not being able to secure any transfers yet.

On the latter, Florida State has been a transfer portal destination. Head football coach Mike Norvell has been referred to as "The Transfer Portal King" by some of the fan base. He has certainly made it an effort to acquire experienced transfers to successfully fill holes in the roster.

Some transfers that he has brought in that have been meaningful include players such as Jermaine Johnson II, Keir Thomas, Devontay Love-Taylor, Jashaun Corbin, Dillan Gibbons, Trey Benson, Keon Coleman, Andrew Parchment, Jordan Wilson, Jared Verse, Braden Fiske, Fabien Lovett Sr., Tatum Bethune, Fentrell Cypress II, and Jarrian Jones (could name so many more).

However, the Seminoles have yet to pick up any transfers in the portal. A portion of the fan base is beginning to worry.

Is there something wrong with the coaching staff? No.

However, with the rapid success on the field, the Seminoles will have their choice of transfers to bring in. They no longer have to take any experienced option that jumps in the portal. They can afford to be selective to a degree.

I would not worry about the lack of pickups because Florida State is in a good position for a couple of transfers. Let's break down two prospects who could be making their decisions soon.
