Florida State football will be taking on the Memphis Tigers at noon Eastern time on ESPN this Saturday in the friendly confines of Doak Campbell Stadium. The Seminoles are coming off of two straight losses to Georgia Tech and Boston College.

After having an undefeated regular season and winning the conference last year, this 2024 campaign came in with many high expectations for this squad. That said, Florida State cannot focus on what happened in 2023 because this is a new season.

Thankfully, the Seminoles are coming off a much-needed bye week. The bad news is that it looks like business as usual for the projected depth chart with very few changes. Norvell remains highly confident in his team's ability to be successful.

This Memphis team has had this game with Florida State circled on their calendars for quite some time. This is a dangerous spot to be in for the Seminoles where quarterback Seth Henigan for Memphis has started 40 career games and has been a very dynamic passer.

The Florida State defense has struggled to stop the run. As for the rushing attack, they are led by running back Mario Anderson who had 125 rushing yards and two touchdowns in their last week's win versus Troy.

As you would expect, Memphis will likely be taking a page from Georgia Tech and Boston College's film and establishing the run early and often to force the Seminoles to load the box and stop it.

SCORE PREDICTIONS

This has not been a kind two weeks for the ChopChat staff score predictions as we are now a combined record of 0-8. We know the sense of urgency to get these right as well as the Seminoles' strong desire to get into the win column.

Taylor Devers: 24-21 FSU

Kelvin Hunt: 31-24 FSU

Leslie Johnson: 17-14 FSU

Nick Andre: 36-17 FSU

Football gods... if you are listening, please let Nick's multiple-score win prediction come true. As Seminole fans, this has been a very difficult ten months since former quarterback Jordan Travis suffered his season-ending injury.
