Florida State football opens up the 2024 season with a neutral-site matchup versus the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday, August 24th.

This is an opportunity for the Seminoles to expand their brand amongst other individuals. Florida State had a successful 2023 campaign where it accomplished an undefeated regular season and a conference championship.

While I know that the College Football Playoff snubbed them of the opportunity to compete for a national championship, fans must realize that it is a completely new team with several newcomers via the transfer portal and recruiting ranks.

Head football coach Mike Norvell has expressed the ultimate confidence in his squad. However, the biggest challenge will start with defeating Georgia Tech and beginning with a 1-0 record. This should allow the team to get acclimated to playing together.

The good news is that they have announced that the season opener has officially sold out.

While 47,000 fans isn't a lot in the smaller stadium. There should be plenty of Seminole fans making the trip to Dublin. The College Gameday crew will be in attendance for the contest, which will make it even more interesting. The Seminole fanbase will give individuals such as Kirk Herbstreit everything that he can handle and so much more.

Head football coach Mike Norvell has high hopes for this team as they look to prove the haters wrong. While there might be some unproven nature with the roster, they seem to have a ton of depth in multiple positions.

Overall, this is an opportunity for the Seminoles to get better and showcase their talents. With the over/under win total set at 9.5 by various sportsbooks, Florida State looks in position to potentially win the conference and make the 12-team College Football Playoff.

I cannot wait until the chills go down my spine when the Warchant plays in Ireland!
