FSU football: Ranking all top coaches in the ACC (2024)
By Kelvin Hunt
Mike Norvell (FSU) 69-32 overall, 19-13 ACC
The new No. 1 is FSU football head coach Mike Norvell. I had Norvell at No. 4 going into the 2023 season. However, an undefeated 2023 season, an ACC title, and the 28-6 record over the past 34 games speak for itself. FSU has emerged as one of the top programs in the nation, in what feels like overnight for FSU fans, after experiencing the worst five-year span in our lifetime.
Mike Norvell led the way with transfer portal recruiting while continuing to improve his high school recruiting year-over-year. The Noles lost 13 players overall to the NFL, but simply reloaded and expect to compete for another ACC title in 2024. They are betting favorites in 11 of 12 games and will be favorites to make the College Football Playoffs. Norvell is still among the youngest active head coaches in college football, and could remain in this spot for some time.
