Parting Thoughts

One of my favorite aspects about this 2024 transfer class is the amount of guys expected to contribute and how many have multiple years of eligibility remaining. It's the beauty of how FSU does about recruiting in the transfer portal. The players who have more than one year of eligibility allow more leeway with high school recruiting. It allows high school guys more time to develop and reduces the risk of constantly mining the portal for talent every recruiting cycle. They don't have many one-and-done guys, but the one-and-done guys are usually big-time difference-makers.

Jermaine Johnson, Keon Coleman, Keir Thomas, and Braden Fiske come to mind. It's possible some of the guys listed as contributors assume larger roles in 2024 too. We'll have to see how it plays out, but I believe FSU will surprise many folks after losing the amount of talent they lost to the NFL Draft. Most expect a large drop-off, and the odds are against it, but it wouldn't shock me to see FSU go undefeated if they stayed healthy and got a bit of luck.
