California Bears (6-7, 4-5 Pac-12)

The California Bears went (6-7, 4-5 Pac-12) in 2023. Head coach Justin Wilcox enters his eighth season at the helm, having never won more than eight games (2019) in a season. However, they improved their win total by two games last year over 2022. They lost to Auburn 14-10 and played USC tough in a 50-49 loss.

The Bears fit the mold of the rest of these teams near the bottom of the power rankings. They don't have a ton of talent overall and are not known as football powerhouses. I don't see that changing anytime soon, though they have a somewhat favorable schedule in 2024. They drew FSU and Miami in back-to-back weeks, but have several lower-tier ACC teams they could beat.
