FSU football: Post-spring camp power rankings for all ACC teams

No. 4
Clemson Tigers (9-4, 4-4 ACC)
Was the 2023 season an outlier for Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers? Clemson failed to win 10 games for the first time since the 2010 season. They had a new quarterback and offensive coordinator, which impacted how Clemson started the season. They won the final five games on their schedule, including wins over ranked teams like Notre Dame and North Carolina. Clemson hasn't taken any transfer portal players but has recruited out of high school at a high level, though not at the level when they were competing for championships.
Will that gamble pay off for Dabo? I have doubts, but I suspect the offense will be better in year two with more continuity, and Clemson has some talented young receivers. I expect the defense to be solid once again. The bad news for Clemson is they open the 2024 season against Georgia and play NC State and FSU within the first five weeks. That's a lot of physical football in a short amount of time and could impact the remainder of their season.
