FSU Strength & Conditioning is Legit

I remember some FSU fans questioned the legitimacy of the FSU Strength & Conditioning program a while back, and I laughed. Coach Storms has earned the Master Strength and Conditioning Coach distinction, the highest honor given in the strength and conditioning coaches profession, by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) in 2018. He is certified through the CSCCa and the National Strength and Conditioning Association and has been a strength coach since 2016. All we hear from FSU players is they are "Built by Storms," giving him the credit for their physical development. Some of the numbers FSU players put up at the NFL Combine were eye-popping. Trey Benson and Jarrian Jones went sub 4.4 forty times.

The future is already putting it he work on campus below:

Johnny Wilson ran 4.52 at 6'6" and 237 pounds with a 4.11 20-yard shuttle. Jared Verse ran a 4.58 40-yard dash at 6'4" and 254 pounds. Braden Fiske led all defensive tackles in nearly every event. It was all positive vibes from their performances, and all programs can't say that. Teams like Miami got embarrassed by how some of their players performed in the events. It's a dog-eat-dog world, and teams have to find an edge where they can. I think linking the S&C program to the player's success at the Combine is an easy sell on the recruiting trails. "Come to FSU, where you put in the work, win a lot of games, get developed, and go play at the next level."
