Florida State football has built a strong foundation with its 2025 recruiting class so far. It is far from finished given that they only have twelve commitments to the fold.

Head football coach Mike Norvell is looking to prove that he is much more than someone who can just acquire talent via the transfer portal. The Seminoles have been negatively recruited in that aspect, especially on the offensive line.

The only recruit that Alex Atkins has recruited who has played valuable snaps has been redshirt senior offensive tackle Robert Scott Jr., who was a Class of 2020 three-star prospect that the Seminoles recruited. Even though Scott Jr. is dealing with a variety of injuries, he has been pivotal to what Florida State brings to the offensive line.

That has not stopped highly-touted recruits from committing to the program as five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas and four-star interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph have both pledged to Florida State.

It should also be noted that the Seminoles look to be in the lead for five-star offensive tackle Josh Petty from Fellowship Christian School in Roswell, Georgia, who will be deciding on his birthday (August 12th).

Atkins has his work cut out for him after this season as current pieces such as Darius Washington, Maurice Smith, Richie Leonard IV, and Robert Scott Jr. will be graduating at the end of the 2024 season.

That is why it is so important to acquire talent on the offensive line. Unfortunately, the Seminoles have struck out on a couple of recruits at the position on its target board in five-star Ty Haywood (Alabama), four-star Lamont Rogers (Missouri), four-star Ziyare Addison (Oregon), four-star Micah DeBose (Alabama), four-star Mario Nash Jr. (Mississippi State), four-star Dontrell Glover (Georgia), and four-star Max Buchanan (Miami).

This is why it is vital to expand the recruiting board with talent due to recruiting being so ever-changing. On Wednesday afternoon, the Seminoles extended an offer to Class of 2025 unranked interior offensive lineman Daniel Pierre Louis from Seminole Ridge High School in Loxahatchee, Florida.

This might be very interesting that Florida State offered an unranked offensive lineman but you have to consider the fact that his high school teammate is four-star linebacker target Ty Jackson, who will be officially visiting the Seminoles during their matchup versus arch-rival Florida.

Could this open the door to grab both prospects?
