FSU football: Mass media entities give Kirby Smart a pass on off-field issues

How long will mass media entities continue to give Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs a pass on their off-the-field issues? Over the past year and a half, Georgia players have had repeated run-ins with the law. His players have faced accusations of sexual assault, domestic violence, illegal possession of firearms, excessive speeding, and reckless driving over the past few years. One incident involved the death of a player and staff member. Racing and reckless driving have become the norm in his program, with over 20+ incidents since that tragic accident in 2023. The news gets reported by Georgia-related outlets, but it's never covered by large media outlets like ESPN and others. I guess it's because they would seemingly have to write an article every month with how often they take place. ESPN did publish a piece about how Kirby Smart is using NIL fines to deal with driving issues on July 16th. Three UGA players were arrested for reckless driving on July 11th. Youtuber Josh Pate said it's on the players to hold one another accountable:  

The problem is teams can be player-led all they want, but if they keep having the same issues, things must change, and that starts from the top with Kirby Smart. If the media held his feet to the fire each time these incidents happened like when an FSU player had an off-the-field incident, I promise things would change. Nobody ever says anything about their issues. I wonder why? Why isn't Josh Pate holding Kirby Smart accountable instead of talking about it's the player's responsibility? However, when FSU had players opt out of the Orange Bowl when snubbed, they had culture issues (roll eyes). FSU hasn't had any off-the-field issues under Mike Norvell, but they have culture issues because players who are set to make millions don't want to risk injury in a meaningless bowl game. Give me a break.
