Pro-Recruiting

FSU football has been fighting an uphill battle on the recruiting front for years. The SEC has done a great job marketing its brand(along with help from ESPN and its media personalities) that it's the premier conference in college football. Football recruits automatically give credibility to schools in the SEC and look at the ACC as an inferior league unless the school recruiting them is FSU, Clemson, and sometimes Miami when they are throwin around crazy NIL money but not winning on the field.

All the other school have little to no chance of landing top players. FSU joining the SEC would be a game-changer. FSU recruits at a high level while in the ACC based on its history, prestige, and location. A move to the SEC would put the Noles on equal footing with Alabama, LSU, Auburn, and others in that league. While a move to the B1G would provide a recruiting boost, the B1G brand doesn't have the same value in the southeast(and one reason they want FSU badly).
