FSU football: Impact players versus Georgia Bulldogs
RB JA'KHI DOUGLAS
Florida State redshirt freshman wide receiver Ja'Khi Douglas is listed as the starting running back. That gives fans an idea of how thin they are at the position. Running backs Trey Benson, Lawrance Toafili, Rodney Hill, and CJ Campbell Jr. are not participating in the bowl game.
As a result, Douglas stepped into action with reserve wide receiver Joshua Burrell being his backup (yeah...the depth is that bad). However, the Louisiana native has been a staple in the FSU offense. Douglas always seems to step up when they need him the most.
It had to be a difficult season for the veteran given that he was behind ultra-talented playmakers Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman. However, when the Pittsburgh contest came and both of them were unavailable, Douglas finished with 6 receptions for 115 yards.
While he might do much at the running back position, I am very appreciative of Douglas stepping up to the plate for the betterment of the team.
