FSU football: Impact of 5-star KJ Bolden flipping to Georgia
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football fans went into 2024 Early Signing Day with rumors swirling around its highest-ranked recruit, five-star defensive back KJ Bolden. Bolden hails from Georgia and committed to the Noles over the Bulldogs in August, which was a major win for the Noles on the recruiting trail. It gave them multiple five-stars in the fold, and they had an excellent season, going 13-0 and winning the ACC Championship. Not only that, Bolden took all of his official visits except one over the summer, and FSU football coaches planned it so it would take place as close to the Early Signing Period as possible.
Bolden was on campus with his family and took pictures with his grandfather, who had on an FSU sweatshirt, the whole nine. When some FSU media asked if he planned to sign with FSU, he indicated that was the case. There were rumors that he'd visit Auburn, which never happened, but as we got closer to Wednesday, the rumors of Bolden staying home and signing with Georgia began to pick up. That was the case as he flipped his commitment Wednesday afternoon at his school's signing ceremony. We take a look at the impact it has on FSU.
