FSU football had some misses on the recruiting trail earlier this week, but the Noles got back in the game with a commitment from four-star offensive lineman and former Florida commit Peyton Joseph. It was a great birthday present for FSU offensive coordinator/OL coach Alex Atkins. Joseph is the second top-tier blue-chip offensive lineman in the 2025 class and the 10th commitment overall. All 10 commits are blue-chip players. This commitment is big for a few reasons. He's an excellent prospect who was committed to the rival Florida Gators. His commitment helps pick up the morale of some FSU football fans who live and die with every recruit's announcement. It's always good to get a player of this caliber in the trenches, but it would have been a bad look if they lost another recruit to a program deemed inferior the way Tavion Wallace committed to Arkansas.

Peyton ranks as the No. 183 player nationally, the No. 9 interior offensive lineman, and the No. 27 player in Georgia. FSU continues to make the Peach State a priority under Mike Norvell. Joseph is the third player from Georgia in the 2025 class. FSU will look to stay hot on the trail in July, with several targets with decision dates this month. The Noles are probably about halfway done with their high school recruiting class, give or take a few, depending on how some recruitments shake out. The good news is the coaching staff has done some big-time work in the trenches so far. FSU has one more offensive lineman target in Josh Petty. If they can reel in his commitment, it would be three blue-chip offensive linemen for Alex Atkins. Can FSU finish with a top-10 class? If they keep landing quality players like this, it will be the highest blue-chip ratio in the Mike Norvell era.
