FSU football: Can the Noles be able to hang on to 5-star S commit KJ Bolden?
FSU football is currently breezing through the Early Signing Period where they are sitting with the fourth-best recruiting class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
The fan base has already received a scare this morning in terms of recruiting where four-star cornerback commit Charles Lester III was suggesting that he would delay his signing until later this week. However, the official Florida State football account tweeted out that he has signed with the program.
These instances happen during recruiting due to the fact of it being teenagers who are making one of the most difficult decisions in their lifetime. However, we have to remember that those prospects are sharing a special moment with their loved ones, and it is an amazing opportunity for them and their families.
Fans cannot let the Travis Hunter situation go from two recruiting cycles ago as the former five-star commit decided to flip his pledge from Florida State to Jackson State during the Early Signing Period. As a result, there are a group of individuals who do not wish to focus on recruiting until pen meets paper.
The Seminoles are going through yet another stressful situation as five-star safety commit KJ Bolden from Buford (GA) will be deciding between Florida State, Auburn, and Georgia. While Bolden has been pledged to the Seminoles since August, teams such as Auburn and Georgia have remained in the mix. Given his relationship with first-year head football coach Hugh Freeze, the thought was that the Tigers were the biggest threat.
However, the Georgia Bulldogs have seemingly got into the mix where On3's AuburnLive Insider Jeffrey Lee put in a prediction for Bolden to flip from Georgia to Florida State.
This is not a way to sugarcoat around it, this would be a massive loss for the Seminoles. However, first-year defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has constructed an impressive secondary haul with four-star Charles Lester III, four-star Cai Bates, four-star Jamari Howard, and four-star Ricky Knight III.
Buckle up Seminole fans, the Early Signing Period could be hectic!
