Better Depth Overall

FSU got hit hard by the injury bug last year, especially at the skill positions. All of them were banged up at the end of the year. Trey Benson, Johnny Wilson, Jaheim Bell, Kentron Poitier, Ja'Khi Douglas, and Keon Coleman. Jordan Travis went down, and that changed the offense for several games too. I think FSU will have more depth in the running back room in 2024. Brock Glenn will be a capable backup if he has to play. I think the offensive line has better depth than last year. The wide receiver unit has more depth. The tight-end group doesn't have the ceiling it had last year, but it likely has more capable bodies who can contribute in 2024. The FSU offense wasn't the same once Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman got hurt, but I think the talent at that position can withstand one or two injuries this season. They have several guys vying to get snaps and looking for opportunities to get on the field.

When I look at the offense in its entirety. They have proven experience at every position, with wide receiver and tight end having a slight question mark. However, the coaching staff has proven they have been in this situation in 2022 with Johnny Wilson and Mycah Pittman arriving from the transfer portal with little to no production to help turn the FSU passing attack into one of the most explosive nationally. DJ Uiagalelei has proven he can learn a new offense and be effective last year at Oregon State. I trust the FSU coaching staff to put players in positions to succeed and play their strengths. There's more overall talent than on that 2022 team, and I expect the coaching staff to maximize it.
