It's crazy how time flies. FSU football defeating Louisville to win the ACC Championship, and the negativity surrounding the CFB Playoff snub, Early Signing Day, FSU suing the ACC, and Alabama trying to poach Mike Norvell seems like a lifetime ago. February is almost here, and FSU coaches have already had some of the top 2025 targets and recruits on campus. The team started Tour of Duty workouts recently, which is an acclimation period for early enrollees and transfer portal players to improve their conditioning, build rapport with teammates, and begin competing for a starting spot.

FSU lost a great deal of leadership from the 2023 program, an amazing nucleus of talented players harmed by experiencing a coaching change, pandemic, adversity, and losses. One major challenge for the 2024 team is finding replacements for that leadership and production. FSU returns several players from last year's team, and several transfer players have experience and success. I look at five players who could emerge as leaders as FSU progresses toward spring camp in the coming weeks.
