FSU football had one of the better offenses in the nation during the 2023 season, though it failed to live up to expectations for a variety of reasons. Several new players got inserted into the lineup from the transfer portal. The projected offensive line starters barely played together at all this season due to injuries. Several wide receivers got banged up about midway through the season. Tight end Jaheim Bell played banged up for much of the season. However, there was still something missing from the offense all season. Jordan Travis was either force-feeding the balls to certain guys and getting behind the chains, failing to convert on third downs

The run game was nearly non-existent in the first few games of the season. However, there were times when the offense looked like an unstoppable unit. The second half against LSU comes to mind, though that was more so their secondary being terrible. Jordan Travis unleashed his legs and pummeled the Duke Blue Devils in the fourth quarter. FSU shredding Syracuse or jumping out on Virginia Tech before they could blink. The second half against Virginia Tech comes to mind.
