Kalen DeLoach

FSU football probably wouldn't be undefeated if not for one magnificent play by Kalen DeLoach in the second half against Clemson. I'm sure all FSU fans know the play I'm talking about, but DeLoach was way more than that to this FSU defense. He was second on the team with 66 tackles. He had seven sacks, 10.5 tackles for a loss, two passes defended, two forced fumbles, and a fumble returned for a touchdown.

DeLoach's value is due to his play, but also because FSU had little to no proven depth at the position. Other than DJ Lundy, FSU had to rely on DeLoach and Tatum Bethune to carry the load in most games. However, he was also instrumental in helping redshirt freshman Omar Graham and freshman Blake Nichelson learn and get reps this year to build towards the future.
