FSU football: 5 major takeaways from 2024 Seminole Showcase (spring game)

Injuries

I mentioned Malik Benson leaving the game with an injury, and Alabama transfer offensive lineman Terrance Ferguson left the game and went to the tent on the sidelines. Alabama transfer linebacker Shawn Murphy got banged up early in the day. Murphy walked off under his own power and should be okay from what I can tell, but he's a guy who continues to need a ton of reps in the defense. Several guys who I thought would play in Saturday's game didn't dress out.

Julian Armella, Lawayne McCoy, Jaden Jones, and Kameron Davis didn't play. Destyn Hill, Jerrale Powers, and Joshua Farmer were already announced as out for all of spring camp. There are probably a few others I'm missing, but it was hard to see all the numbers of everyone in the game and on the sidelines. I'm not too concerned, other than Benson and Ferguson. However, it'll be interesting to see what's the word for some of the guys that didn't dress out.
