FSU football: 5 major takeaways from 2024 Early Signing Day
By Kelvin Hunt
Excellent Skill Position Players
FSU has had to rely on the portal for much of its skill position production over the past few years. Jashaun Corbin, Trey Benson, Johnny Wilson, Keon Coleman, Jaheim Bell, and Kyle Morlock have been major contributors to the Noles under Mike Norvell. However, the need to improve talent at the wide receiver, running back, and tight-end positions in the prep ranks was a necessity. The combination of skill position talent in the 2024 recruiting class is outstanding.
They signed two running backs who complement one another well. Kameron Davis is the No. 3 running back nationally, and local product, Micahi Danzy is a bigger and faster Lawrance Toafili. Landon Thomas was the No. 1 tight-end nationally when he committed to the Noles in April. The wide receivers signed provide an excellent array of options. Elijah Moore has outstanding size and length to win against smaller defensive backs. Camdon Frier provides a great option in the slot. Lawayne McCoy and BJ Gibson are 6'0" or taller and can run excellent routes.
