Caziah Holmes

Caziah Holmes is a player I thought might contribute more last season. However, the coaching staff seemed content with riding with Trey Benson and Lawrance Toafili most of the time, with Rodney Hill sprinkled in here and there. Holmes appeared in all 14 games but only had 29 carries for 185 yards and two touchdowns. He had five receptions for 58 yards and two touchdowns in the passing game. This will be his second spring camp, and there's clearly an opportunity to seize with Trey Benson and Rodney Hill no longer in the program.

Alabama transfer Roydell Williams and Toafili will get snaps. However, Holmes has the physical frame and outstanding speed to be a major contributor. Injuries have held him back most of his career, but Mike Norvell has shown he can rotate three running backs by committee and produce an outstanding rushing attack. Holmes checked in at a sturdy 5'11" and 215 pounds and clocked a 10.7 100-meter dash in high school(which is faster than Trey Benson ran then). I'm not saying he'll be Trey Benson, but I like Holmes a lot if he gets ample opportunities this spring.
