FSU football completed its 2024 recruiting class(from the high school ranks) in December with 23 additions and 13 early enrollees. It was an outstanding class of 70 percent blue-chip players, hitting on nearly every major need in the 2024 recruiting cycle. I talked about the five biggest needs a year ago here, and I'd say FSU nailed three of the five. They didn't necessarily miss on the other two positions, but I don't see any early impact guys taken at those positions, and it'll take some time before those guys find significant snaps during meaningful games.

The great thing about Mike Norvell is they always have multiple plans in the works. The areas I'd deem misses? The staff addressed via the transfer portal with players who will contribute immediately in 2024. The 2024 recruiting cycle continues to display the delicate balance of blending high school and transfer portal recruiting to build a program. FSU's success over the last 35+ games should continue to parlay into improved high school recruiting. Frankly, I think the 2025 recruiting class could be elite. They already have some solid pieces with four blue-chip commits. Here are the five biggest needs.
