FSU football: 4 major takeaways from first week 2024 spring camp

Parting Thoughts
I have been high on this team well before many people started understanding what the coaches were doing in the transfer portal. They had a clear plan and executed it well to help transition from the loss of so much talent. The coaching staff has shown the ability to bring new players with little to no production in and develop them into productive players when they enroll in the spring semester. We've seen it with Trey Benson, Johnny Wilson, Keon Coleman(not a spring enrollee), Tatum Bethune, Jared Verse, and Fentrell Cypress. That track record alone is what makes me confident this team will be fine with so many new players.
A couple of those guys were proven players at their previous stops, but they had to acclimate to how FSU coaches do things too. Not only has FSU increased the amount of overall talent, I think they've improved their roster more than any other school in the ACC because of their transfer portal use. Not only does it fill the gap left by previous players, it allows the talented freshmen time to develop and this FSU team should be filled with productive players from the 2022, 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes in 2025.
