FSU football: 4 huge reasons FSU poised to stay among top national programs

QB Recruiting
Some college coaches look to acquire talent without an exact plan. That's not what Mike Norvell does, and more importantly, he understands teams MUST acquire top talent at the quarterback position. FSU has done this over the past few recruiting cycles. Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek were two of the better quarterbacks in their recruiting classes. Tate Rodemaker hitting the transfer portal hurt the depth and experience in the room, but Mike Norvell got a former five-star quarterback as a stop-gap for one season in DJ Uiagalelei.
The latter will give FSU a chance to win at a high level while Glenn and Rodemaker have time to develop to fight for the job in 2025. FSU already has blue-chip quarterbacks committed in the 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes. Mike Norvell's offense is built for playmakers, and his quarterbacks have generated outstanding production when he's had time to develop them into starters. Teams that have outstanding quarterback play can hide some minor flaws. Clemson's run when they were at an elite level with Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence proves that sentiment. FSU will be in good hands at the QB position for years to come.
