The 2024 FSU football season is only a few short weeks away, and the excitement for FSU fans is nearing a fever pitch. FSU completed its first scrimmage of fall camp over the weekend, and the identity of the 2024 teams has started to take shape. From a macro view, I think we have a good idea of what this team will be. I've been comparing them to the 2022 unit to provide context on how much more quality depth they have at multiple positions. However, when I think about the overall makeup of this 2024 team, I can't help but notice many similarities to the 2015 team that went 10-3.

Of course, FSU played the bowl game with an injured quarterback and lost a close game against Houston. They lost a hard-fought game against a Deshaun Watson-led Clemson squad, and of course, the blocked field goal ran back for a touchdown loss against Georgia Tech. I don't expect this 2024 FSU football team to lose three games, but the offense and defense could look similar to the 2015 unit. Here are three ways they are similar, and three ways the 2024 team will be better.
