Florida State football will be taking on the Memphis Tigers in the friendly confines of Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday afternoon at noon Eastern time. The Seminoles are trying to get in the win column in 2024 after two opening losses to Georgia Tech and Boston College.

The season has not been going as the Seminole fan base and the team thought it would have after the program was projected to win the conference and even make the College Football Playoff in the preseason.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Florida State is a 6.5-point home favorite versus Memphis for this Saturday's contest. Originally, the Seminoles opened up as 9.5-point favorites in the preseason. The money line is set at -250 (bet $250 to win $100). This seems to be a product of Florida State's recent struggles on the football field.

I want to highlight three reasons why individuals should be weary of taking the spread and should plan on taking the Florida State money line instead.
