FSU football: 3 reasons Noles have great chance to beat California Bears
By Kelvin Hunt
Parting Thoughts
I know what we've seen from FSU in the last three weeks gives little hope. However, this California team isn't good. It's simply a matter of FSU executing or not. Do they want to be there? There seems to be some type of fire lit under a few guys at practice this week.
I'm not one for soft factors, but it's a home game, and California has to travel from the West Coast. I don't think FSU can play much worse than they have on offense the past two weeks.
Maybe I'm overly optimistic and want some positive news for the program. However, I was right about the defense showing up against Memphis last week. If the offense had a pulse, they would have won against a better Memphis team.
This matchup is favorable for the Noles as well. At some point, solid to good DJ Uiagalelei has to show up. He faced this California defense and lit them up last year while at Oregon State. Maybe Mike Norvell finally transitions to Brock Glenn, and he gives a spark to the offense?
Either way, it's a game FSU should win. I don't care if they are 0-3. There's too much talent on this team to keep playing at the level they've been playing.
