Georgia has had lulls this year

Bowl games can be weird because of so many dynamics at play. There are guys sitting out(Georgia will have guys sitting out too). The two teams haven't played in a few weeks, and it'll be a neutral site game. The betting spread is -20 points. If FSU beat Georgia, it wouldn't be among the largest upsets in recent memory. Georgia is an excellent team, but it's not the same Georgia team that's won back-to-back National Championships.

Folks like to give teams in the SEC a pass for some reasons. However, it's not like Georgia destroyed every team they played. A team that didn't qualify for a bowl game like South Carolina hung with Georgia, and were +26.5 betting underdogs. Georgia Tech was only down 21-13 at halftime against the Bulldogs, and they were +24.5 betting underdogs. FSU will play a lot of young guys, and having a freshman at quarterback with only one start under his belt is a tough ask. However, FSU isn't without talent. Not to mention we've seen big upsets in college football in recent years. Appalachian State defeated Texas A&M on the road as +17.5 betting underdogs. Virginia beat North Carolina at +23.5 betting underdogs.
