Florida State lost to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets by a score of 24-21 in the season opener in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday afternoon.

Trust me, it still pains me to type that sentence as much as it pains you to read it. However, it is the reality at this point, and the program must find a way to navigate the circumstances. This is still the same Florida State team the experts picked to win the conference. They have to live up to the expectations.

Head football coach Mike Norvell emphasizes the importance of battling through adversity when things don't go your way. This is a prime example of the obstacle playing out in real life.

However, the Seminoles' fan base endured the historic FCS loss to Jacksonville State at home on a game-winning touchdown in 2021. The program started the season with a 0-4 record. Fans thought that it was rock bottom for Florida State football and they would never bounce back.

The Seminoles were able to string together victories for the rest of the season where they won five of the past eight games (should have been bowl-eligible if they did not collapse against Florida)
