Florida State football lost to Georgia Tech by a score of 24-21 in its season opener in Dublin, Ireland. It was a disappointing outing that the Seminoles' players and coaching staff wished they had back.

There was a list of expectations for this 2024 squad as they were projected to win the conference for the second year in a row. It was easy to see that after head football coach Mike Norvell and his team accomplished an undefeated regular season and a conference championship.

However, the coaching staff decided to add over forty newcomers this offseason and the amount of new acquisitions could have been too much to handle. There were several leaders in the 2023 version of the Seminoles that went to the NFL.

There is not an easy way to put it. The season opener versus Georgia Tech was frustrating. Since we highlighted negatives to the contest, I thought it would be good to mention three positives in this article.
